Twitter is the current darling of the blogosphere, most people have heard of Twitter by now, but for the uninitiated Twitter is a social network of sorts. The concept is that users post tweets in answer to the question “What are you doing?” and follow others updates - the best way to describe it is as micro-blogging.

I felt it was time for a bit of a change to this site, there were some things I wanted to implement at the last redesign and some things I wasn’t happy with. Also I was bored. To document the changes (and mainly to show off) here’s what’s new.

Video on the internet is a big deal. A fair number of conversations I have at some point contain the words “oh have you seen … on YouTube” and regional news even occasionally run a story on the latest ‘viral video phenomenon’. YouTube itself is so widespread that it’s completely proliferated our day-to-day lives.

Well this is my first blog entry, my foray into the blogosphere, the yard stick against which all future posts will be measured. So what better subject to get stuck in with than the concept of the ‘blog’.
